The sky does not ask you to understand it first. Begin by noticing.
Make a star-map sketchWelcome to the Observatory. Seven existing prompts invite you to notice the sky. Choose one and take your time.

Seven observation missions
Existing observation prompts, not a live sky chart or working telescope. Use a safe place after dark; never look at the Sun through a telescope or binoculars.
A mission 01
Find the brightest point you can see. Watch it long enough to notice whether it moves or flickers.
A mission 02
Look between the lights. Find a dark shape and draw its boundary with your eyes.
A mission 03
If the moon is visible, study its edge. If it is not, notice the space where you expected it.
A mission 04
Face one direction. Name three things connecting the ground to the sky.
A mission 05
Watch one patch of sky for three minutes. Notice what only patience reveals.
A mission 06
Choose five lights and connect them into a shape. Name it for something you want to remember.
A mission 07
Choose your own thing to observe: a light, shadow, pattern, movement, or question. The missions are doors—not rules. Follow what makes you look twice.
Observatory · A little orientation
For noticing carefully, asking questions and keeping observation distinct from imagination.
Make an imaginary constellation, or choose one of seven existing sky-observation prompts. The pictured telescope opens an imagined-sky interaction: turn through three views and inspect five points. These are creative visuals, not live sky data or scientifically exact observations.
